Warren and Michelle Take Over

A message from founding Co-Owners Liz & Matt Jacobs:

Hello friends. As many of you know, Matt and I founded our brewery on a dream of building a “Legacy” to leave behind. We’ve poured years of literal blood, sweat, tears & beer into this business, learning some painful lessons and meeting some amazing people along the way. Knowing we couldn’t do this all on our own, Warren joined Legacy in 2020 first as an assistant brewer and then in 2022 as a Co-Owner, to help us continue down the road of growth and success. Earlier this year Matt & I announced semi-privately that we would be stepping away from the brewery and we would be selling our ownership interest in Legacy.

We are excited today to share with you all that what we felt would be the “best case scenario” has come to fruition. Our business partner Warren and his wife Michelle will be taking over our ownership interest and the daily operations in the business and will become the majority owner and proprietor of this little slice of heaven. They, along with our incredible staff, will be keeping the best parts of Legacy the same. They will also be introducing some new ideas and innovations that we feel will continue to make everyone’s experience even better when you visit. This outcome is truly the Best. Case. Scenario.

While Warren & Michelle carry Legacy on, Matt & I will also be moving on literally. Our family will soon be relocating out of the state to start the next phase of our lives in North Carolina. While we won’t be as present as we once were, we expect to visit often and are looking forward to enjoying all Legacy has to offer with you, but this time from the other side of the bar.

As for the “Legacy” we are leaving behind… through this process we learned that the “Legacy” we were building was not for us. It was for all of you. We have had the honor and joy of meeting new people, watching beautiful relationships and friendships form. What we built is even bigger and better than we ever could have imagined, and we are so proud of the neighborhood staple we’ve created here. We hope you continue to allow our Legacy to be a part of your lives and we will never forget you. Thank you for allowing us to live out our dream and we hope you all continue to help take care of Legacy today and always.
